Drama Update:

It was a totally anti-climactic ending to a throroughly annoying situation that I told y'all about in my last journal. The woman who wanted to buy our bassinet called me an hour late to tell me she was running late... DUH. I informed her of the 'incident' and she said she'd still like to come by and see it. Fine. However, she gave me no ETA on her arrival, and by 5 p.m., she'd still not shown up. So I get another call telling me that maybe we should wait until the part comes in...she'd look at it then.

SIGH.

That's totally fine, but did she have leave me hangin' ALL afternoon?

Onto better news...

Billy turned one year old on Saturday! I've updated his blog with Birthday cake video and photos... there was much smashing and mushing of cake-age...

Finally, there's been a few blogs out there recently about people who don't like DA journals being used to post stuff like... oh, this journal entry. You know, updates on our day-to-day lives...

Give me a break, people. You don't like it? DON'T READ IT.

DA is what it is. It's a social art site. Don't like it? There are plenty of other forums for your art out there.

Ugh, sorry to mix in a rant with this journal, but seriously. DA's got it's problems, but let's face it: DA is what it is. Let's stop bashing it already. You take the good with the bad, and make your own experience out of it. I hardly EVER look at the popular journals, or art, and so, I hardly EVER get bent out of shape about bad manga, or teen-emo-drama that's rampant on this site.

That's the simplest fix I know to the problem. You'll find plenty of good art to look at by following the faves of people you admire. Get your watch list up, and you'll be so busy keeping up with that, you'll never have to see all the other crap.
